Your Parrot Supplement Calci Power (500g Powder) is a specially formulated supplement to support avian health, particularly during critical phases like breeding. It combines calcium and magnesium with high-grade B vitamins to address essential nutritional needs.
Calcium is crucial for bone strength, muscle function, and the production of sturdy eggshells. During breeding, hens require extra calcium to prevent depletion of their own bone reserves, which, if unsupported, can lead to long-term health issues. Weak or thin eggshells can also compromise chick development, as they rely on shell calcium in early growth stages.
The calcium and magnesium in this formula are highly bioavailable, promoting strong eggshell development and preventing deficiencies. The combination helps maintain proper mineral balance, reducing risks of muscle cramps or bone weakness in breeding females. Added B vitamins support nerve function and contribute to calmer, healthier birds, ensuring smoother breeding cycles.
Calcium is vital for all parrots, with species such as African Greys having particularly high requirements. Note: Calci Power is not water-soluble and should be mixed into soft foods. Consultation with a veterinarian is recommended before use.
